BPN in Papua!

The Black Pearl Network team comprised of Ross Gobby, Jan and Brian Thorpe, Geoff Schupp and the Uniting Church WA Moderator, Steve Francis are currently visiting Papua. On their first day in Jayapura they met with officials from the Evangelical Christian Church in the Land of Papua (GKI TP) and signed a Memorandum of Understanding between our two churches.

On the way to Papua the team met with Deborah Murthy from Uniting World in Bali to talk about out shared dreams and plans.

A second meeting with David Bradbury from the Indonesian Australian Language Foundation was fruitful and may lead to future projects in Papua.

In the evening, the team was hosted to dinner at the home of Ditrich and Welmin Rumboirusi in Jayapura, both of whom are past participants in the APCEP course.
